Avignon TGV is a major hub on the French high-speed rail network and the recommended arrival point for anyone flying or taking the train to camp.

• From the station to camp: about 1 hour by road

• Camp shuttle: The camp shuttle can be booked for an extra 50€. If you’d like to join, let us know your arrival time 30 days before camp starts, and we'll add you to the shuttle schedule, just look for our CampJoli sign in the arrivals area.

• Taxi: Taxis are available just outside the station if you'd rather head straight over on your own; expect the ride to run roughly 1 hour.

The easiest way from Paris is the direct TGV to Avignon, no need to drive.

• By train: Direct high-speed trains run from Paris (Gare de Lyon) to Avignon TGV Station in about 2h40.

• From Avignon TGV, hop on the camp shuttle or a taxi for the final leg to the château (see above).

• If you'd rather drive the whole way yourself, see "By Highway" below, driving from Paris covers roughly 700 km and takes about 7 hours.

Marseille Provence Airport is the best-connected international gateway if you're flying in from outside Europe.

• Getting to Avignon TGV:

  • By train: Take the free shuttle bus from the airport to Vitrolles-Aéroport station (about 5–10 minutes), then a regional TER train to Avignon (roughly 1 hour total, and the most budget-friendly option).

  • By taxi: A direct taxi from the airport to Avignon TGV Station takes about 1 hour.

• From Avignon TGV, hop on the camp shuttle or a taxi for the final leg to the château (see above).

Nîmes-Alès-Camargue-Cévennes Airport is a short hop from Avignon and a great option if your flight connects through Paris, London, or another European hub.

• Getting to Avignon TGV: Public transport between the two is limited, so we recommend booking a taxi directly from the airport to Avignon TGV Station, it's about 45 km and takes roughly 40–45 minutes.

• From Avignon TGV, hop on the camp shuttle or a taxi for the final leg to the château (see above).

If you're driving yourself, there's no need to route through Avignon, you can head directly to the château.

1. Get onto the A9 motorway, which runs between Orange/Avignon in the north and Nîmes/Montpellier in the south.

2. Take exit 23, Remoulins.

3. Follow signs toward Uzès.

4. In Uzès, you'll cross three roundabouts, continue straight ahead each time, then follow the ring road (boulevard) around to the Town Hall.

5. From there, follow signs the final stretch to Fontarèches (about 10 km further).

We'd still recommend dropping the address straight into Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps for the final approach, the village streets are small and winding.
